im only at a minute 05, allready i can tell this is going to be emotional,

government must first keep the people and the property safe,

and it has to balance the constitution,

so i think talking about doing harm to people or property is not protected speech, but talking about how one doesnt like our government *is* protected speech,

i know the quote those who give up privacy for security deserve neither,

i think government domestic spying programs like wiretapping are probably extra constitutional, that said, if its a program that protects the identity of the sender, and a computer reviews, and uncovers a plot and a human reviews it and says yeah its not a joke its a real threat, and there is a legislative review, a warrant, and the rule of law followed, im for it,

im going to finish this now

thanks for posting i'll be back to comment im sure

bill oriely is a douche

in response to rosie odonnel, gulf of tonken 1964, gov't sort of blew a false alarm out of porportion, neglected to mention it was false, and this led to a vietnam buildup,

so talking about history did not lead that woman to attack the secretary of state

that said, attacking the secretary of state should be illegal

I am following and agree with you, you can't assult anyone or approch the SOS like that. And I agree yo ucan't say lets blow up or kill someone. Saying I wish they were dead is different. But you can say this sucks let elect someone else.

I am of the mind this bill is not needed and needs repealed!

dont like glenn beck anymore

i swore an oath to defend the constititution in 2001, that means ron paul has the freedom to run for office and is not a domestic terrorist because he runs for president

ron paul is a douchebag in my humble opinion

i think this bill is bull shit

entirely on point, and someone who wants to go outside those bounds i don't think thats what the founding fathers meant by freedom of speech, i think they meant things like, for example,

i disagree with the president's tax plan i want to elect john kerry

which is protected,

but saying, for example,

i want to do harm to people

i dont think thats protected speech, we dont need a bill to give government the power to protect its citizen, just properly trained and funded police departments

k, glenn beck's definitions aren't really all that relevant

so i agree with what your saying, the message is cool but its poorly done cause it uses rosie and bill and beck and they're douchebags

we could do that message so much better
drhouse2008 wrote on Apr 24
its still a good discussion starter cause it is entertaining

is there a part 2 you're putting up

We agree again

I have not looked for part 2, and doubt it will be presented academically.

I'm still watching...I'm at homegrown terrorism being intellectual...Past dictators rounded up and imprisoned the geniuses. They are a threat to evil.

I'll never forget how David Letterman took a moderate approach in his interview with oriley and took him down YAY

Yes we disenfranchised intellectuals are a threat to the likes of Glen Beck and Bill O'Riley to whom I say BS!

You couple that with the military commision act and the demonstrated ability to rendition folks there is a lot of legal verbiage allowing the federal government to lock up anyone for any reason. It is chilling.
