Vader: Apology accepted Captain Needa

Singing Timbaland-Too Late to Apologise

Last week I managed to offend about everyone on my list with my blogging. I know most of you think “your blog say what you want.”  I was not calling anyone out or saying anyone was wrong or stupid, but my life observations and questions bothered a few of my favorites. Plus I do rib people affectionately, and it often misses the mark.

One of my favorites friends has aversion to hot women pictures. She did not say anything but I knew she was like “grrrrrrrr.” She see hot pics the same as farm animals being displayed for breeding purposes only, the human element is removed and one might as well be an animal. I try and say it is not me being disrespectful, I appreciate women as people. I can enjoy the intelligence, wit, and spirit of the woman as well as her curves. I do see her point, it would be hard to be the CEO of a company, or a professor if others can’t overlook your big breast. Women to act like a sexy dolly in public are defeating the quest for respect. There is several studies where hot women in low cut tops got hired more than very qualified modest women.

My next oops was that I assumed all women were feminist. Equal pay, equal rights to promotion, and equal access to the government. I finally caught on to another friend hinting to me that she was upset about abortion. I do not hide my pro choice stance but, I am not a woman I am not sure why I can even speak about abortion. I just know that once a woman says what will or will not happen to her body, the discussion is over. Up to the third trimester is it a bunch of cells, and a mouse has life more than the fetus. But the third trimester, any issues should be known, if she was raped she should have made a decision, and the brain of the fetus is becoming active, thus a sentient being, thus civil rights. My friend is convinced that once conceived poof, end game, it is a person. Her assertion that if an 8 week pregnant mom was killed by a psycho, the prosecutor will get him for a double murder. But trailer skank can have 20 abortions and be untouched. Why is the law one way and not the other? That is a good question I admit, pages of legaleeze on and on.

Then me going on about seafood and PETA, my long time and very cool online buddy who thinks humans should move beyond using animal products because we are no longer cave dwellers. I often wonder if her husband ate a cheeseburger if it would be the same as an affair? :) Yesterday I did not even go have seafood, we went for a picnic instead. I had to let my bullfrog go because he out grew the 30-gallon tank, so we took him to the frog pond.  Then we went to the river to catch a crawdad, not to eat him, but I wanted to observe his intelligence, and fill my empty tank so we would not miss froggy. As I was looking for crawdad I thought “watch of all days for her to log on and read my blogs, she will hit that one first.” Guess what happened, she read me calling the one PETA article bunk and such. On their side the research about pigs is not bunk, pigs have the same intelligence as dogs and dolphins. Yes I have been to meat packing plants and know how they run. The movie Fast Food nation is not far off, it is more honest than Ben Stein “documentary.” So yeah pigs are alive when hung on the hook as the stun gun often fails. But your ham sandwich looks nice and neat. My wife visited a Tyson poultry plant once, she vomited and does not like to think about it. The chickens being slammed against walls are true, not staged.   My saying I love animals and am an omnivore does not compute and me saying we have food animals and friend animals to my friend is about the same as saying I like the Irish, but we eat the Italians.

For about a month anything I said offended my friend back east, but we reached a good understanding of each other in the end. I did expect to find myself deleted, but I was not meaning to be a dick. Then of course me saying the bible makes no sense, add all my Republican and Democrat jokes, or me just Emailing a black friend and asking are you Black or African-American, and what is the difference between a Nigger, a nigger, and a nigga? I am just a heap of trouble aren’t I?

I really do appreciate and understand how you can see smut houses, abortions clinics and meat packing plants as places of filth and death, and needing a shower thinking about them. It is not that I take you or your issues lightly, I am giving you credibility. I want to extend my appreciation of your tolerance, and that I appreciate not being deleted or having a mafia hit called on me.  I have as many silly quirks as anyone. To me it is a show of affection to rib fun at those you like. Logging onto a vegetarians page and saying” I was going to have a Bocca burger today, but I ran out of arrows hunting Boccas,” or a Republican and say “ Hi I became a Democrat I am here to cause drama with Obama.” Or to a Democrat singing " Who put the O in Obama-lama-ding-dong, who was the man, Id like to shake hie hand." Or “Here is your smut with nekkid girls and sheep who got drugged for vile purposes.” they may not always appreciate it.

It is my twisted way of saying I do appreciate you. I do offend but I really do not mean it, and I am conscientious of your feelings, support your fight for your beliefs and enjoy you as a unique individual. I would also appreciate you if you were a eunuch individual, but that would take balls.

HA!

MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

I can laugh now safely. Our daughter can home with her project from art day. Here is how it went.

“Mommy I made a picture of you.”

“You made a picture of mommy, awww, let me see.”

“It’s a pig!? You think mommy is a pig?”

“Yeah oink oink oink”

Poor Becky looked like she was about to cry. She had to regroup and excuse it as a kid thing. It was a very nice pig, circles cut out of construction paper for body, head and piggy nose.  Of course I was totally supportive, and was in no way about to bust out laughing.  BAWHAHAHAHAHA! I also kept all comments to myself, snickering. Would a sane husband really walk up to his wife and ask her to squeal like a piggy? Why do all women have the exact same "watch it buster" look?

Yesterday was also my sons 6th grade end of year send off. It was pleasant, all had pizza and soda with other snacks. They handed out awards, my son got most likely to be an author, and a commendation from the principal. Not bad.

Geez, all this and we are just now at the half way point? This was the easy half, ABC &1-2-3. No cars, dating, drugs, grades for career placement, each year gets more important as we go on. EEE GADS!

Other than no Gifted education this year, the year went by ok. It was my son’s least favorite year.  We got along with his teacher well that made it better.  The only call we got from the school was when the nurse was lecturing about sex education, and made a mistake, my son caught the mistake and corrected the teacher in front of the class.  The nurse was wigged out because someone that young should not have that type of knowledge. The teacher and principal calmed her down, and told her we both have health degrees. Nobody got accused of inappropriate stuff.

Sex education! AACCK! The only sex ed we got in school was a shaking pointy finger saying “don’t fool around.” Yeah that worked well, my Jr year every girl in the senior class was pregnant, no I am not kidding. We just tell him what is what openly and honestly. We do strongly encourage abstinence because of the logic in that. No pregnancy, no disease, no other issues. It is easier to do college without a kid, and once you have a career you will appear highly attractive to potential mates.  He makes funny sarcastic comments any time a sex scene happen on TV or in a movie. “They ruin a perfectly good show with sex, and some girl waving her butt, lets get back to the show.”  It is so funny but, that will change soon, and I will miss it.

I am very proud how we always get compliments on how well our kids behave and are fun to be around. I hope to keep it going. Who invented parenting anyway? No vacation, no sick leave, and you do not get performance feedback for 18 years! What a silly system. I will be 89 years old, and still worry if they are ok. Sigh!

Blog EntryThinking Out LoudMar 19, '08 11:53 AM
for everyone

HUMMMM.. With all the election stuff, seems all over blog land people are asking and thinking about character, morals, & ethics. News reports of "family values" politicians playing around with call girls, and stuff. CEOs looting company assets and retirement plans to line their own pockets.  Politicians making promises we know are bogus, but yet allow them to do their plan, and somehow forget to hold them to their half.

Like with Clinton (the mister) as soon as you think of him, you then go right to the Monica thing.  Though neither he or she ( the misses) will confirm it, some folks who are personally close to the Clintons imply they have an open marriage. That changes the rules alot. Except you should not play at work, geez.

It seems with politicians, and those who are looking to romantically date or simply befriend someone it is like you are extending "character credit."   Then with a normal marriage the wave of euphoria wears off, and you realized you married a human, who can drive you up a wall.  Then politicians to dumb human things, other do down right dirty illegal things feeling they are above the law. Reality sets in over time no matter what.

Watching westerns character was a big part of the story.  Back then people fought and died over reputation, honor, and the like. Many samurai stories adapted well as westerns because of that theme.  A John Wayne character saying "me and him go back a long ways" said a lot more than just the words.

Seems the only real truth is action. There is truth in dishonest action. What someone does day to day is the reality of who they are. People do first what is important to them, the rest is just details. Some guy who says his wife and kids are important, but is at the bar until 11 every night, makes you wonder. Where a guy who is at home with his family never has to say anything.

In fitness you know how much time we spend talking about fitness? HAHAHA! If people could move their bodies as much as they move their mouths we would be the healthiest nation on the planet.  We could run the Kenyans into the ground, and out lift the Eastern Europeans.

I wonder how many stupid sob stories judges get from repeat offenders? How sorry, how stupid, how it will never happen again, three arrests ago.  Maybe I could get on the pop culture bandwagon with my life coaching, and market instant character repair. Here you are now a good person on a silver platter, yippy hurray!  "Here is Betty, she used to do drugs and beat her kids, but after 30 days on my program, she is a saint."  I think part of who we are is the restitution we pay others and to our selves. Like fitness, I have no magic bullets.

As I got older, maybe not wiser, but definitely older, I find it rewarding to walk the walk.  I am so far from a saint it is ridiculous but I do believe there are certain things we must challenge ourselves to do and to become to be human beings.  Pop culture talks of building self esteem, and helping others build theirs. That comes from real accomplishments. No you can not be the best and fastest all the time, but you can get yourself to the game. If you do what it takes day in and day out the odds say you have to come out a head.  If you do what you feel passionate about you really can't lose.

Blog EntryTypical New Years EntryDec 31, '07 12:13 PM
for everyone
Well 2007 was generally a sucky year. All that I had planned fell through. However have have really enjoyed these last six weeks, with the exception of a troll attack. The holidays this year were better than the past few years.  Of course the family is healthy, no disease or car wrecks, so that is always something to be grateful for. Anyways My new years resolutions.

First is I am going to relax and "smell the roses" more. Lately I feel as if I am looking or waiting for something. I will get somewhere, and am ready to move on, or I will start to read a book or something, and it seems I cant get into it fast enough. I want all the concepts in my mind by osmosis or something.  The whole point is to take in the whole experience. So I will just have to buckle down and focus on tasks at hand, one step at a time, and I will enjoy the ride, and the destination.

Next I will be conscious to avoid and minimize idiots. I should say toxic people, those who take the joy and energy out of a room as soon as they walk in, or troll the internet. If it is not a change of plans I will avoid them. When near then I will just not accept any invitation to do battle. They are like quicksand toxic people are. Once you realize their true intension you are waist deep in muck, and even once you get out and get away you are still covered in muck. They fire a barrage of distraction issues that any normal person will try and fight fair. The true intent is to get everyone to to waste time and energy on them, they get their jollies by seeing how much time, attention, and emotion you will waste on them. They have no true passion for any issue or truth.  By simply not playing they will fire sour grapes insults, but will soon go away because they must find attention, it is who they are. Stupid people are like bugs on a windshield, a pain in the neck fact of life.

Third I am already close to my family, but I would like to enjoy more time with them. Our daughter is becoming quite a conversationalist, and our son starts JR High, and the teen stuff starts earlier and earlier all the time. Drugs and sex are issues already, geez!  Spouse person will have more time, so I can bug her more, and pelt her with nerf guns.

Fourth, I am going to start my training business full bore this year. I am targeting April 15th. I have been doing casual and informal training. Someone we know gets a bow flex or something and need help with it. Or someone who knows someone hired a trainer, and want to know what I think of the program. I am also going to open my business exactly as I visioned from the start. If other trainers go ballistic so be it. I am not lowering the market value, nor am I embarrassing the profession. I think their over charging is the shame.  Handicapped, seniors, and the poor need a plan to better well being as much as the millionaires. Since public funding of health care is a reality, any help I can offer the system is a good thing. I do need to pay the rent and such, but I can make a living with out taking blood from others.  I went to school and set my life around my family and business philosophy, I would rather be busy than saying I make $70.00 and hour while nobody calls.  Also I believe that a persons career is an important part of who they are. A rewarding career is a huge step to happiness. Maybe that is why often moral at fast food places can be so bad, people are not pursuing their true passion and purpose.

Finally I want to continue my Keep It Simple Stupid philosophy.  Stay near the heart of things and not be distracted by fluff details. Such as even a $100,000 super luxury cars still need fuel, air and timed spark to run just like a $200 clunker.  The football team that blocks and tackles better that opponents usually wins game. Spending more than comes in leads to debt, eating more calories than you burn leads to fat, you know simple logical conclusions and reaction to actions.  Keeping it simple minimizes the law of unintended consequences.

SO my new years resolutions are nothing new, but to keep on keeping on.
